Abstract
In this article, the author outlines the stages of development of the stock market infrastructure in the world. In addition, the essence of the terms “stock market”, “infrastructure”, “stock market infrastructure” is disclosed and
the evolution of the elements of stock market infrastructure is analyzed. Based on the polemic, the author proposed the author’s definition of “stock market infrastructure” and substantiated its role in the development of the stock market
