Abstract
The role of service sector as a predominant force in the economy has gained significant attention in the recent years. The rise of the services economy in industrialized countries is having considerable effects on employment and economic activities in Japan. This research empirically examines the evolution of the service sector in Uzbekistan and assesses its impact on employment generation and economic growth.
