Abstract

The article presents the basic concepts of the blockchain technology and offers some views on the problems, future opportunities and the expected impact of the blockchain technology and distributed data on industry and society. The origin of these technologies is tracked, starting with the digital system of cash bitcoins and ending with newer applications.
